Students will be familiar with numbers 1-1000, identify each number, compare numbers based on place value, identify odd and even numbers, and fill in missing numbers in a sequence. They will identify a fraction of a shape and a set of objects, and they will compare fractions with the numerator of 1. They will add and subtract numbers with up to 3 digits vertically. They will identify basic geometric shapes and 3D solids, and identify congruent, similar, and symmetric shapes. They will measure the length using a ruler.
In science, students will identify types of animals and plants, compare different types of habitats, measure temperature, precipitation, and wind, and understand the relationship between the day/night cycle, seasons, and the movement of Earth, Sun, and Moon. They will understand how force influences the movement of an object. They will understand and name the changes in the states of matter.
